Mindy Goldman is an OB/GYN physician specializing in the women's health care and gynecology issues for breast cancer patients and those at risk for cancer. She is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been on the faculty at UCSF for 14 years. She is Director of the Women's Health Cancer Care Program, which is a collaborative program between the UCSF National Center of Excellence in WomenÕs Health and the Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center.
Dr. Goldman completed her medical training at the University of Vermont and Ob/Gyn Residency at UCSF. She has been recognized for her excellence in teaching both locally and nationally and has received several teaching awards from medical students and residents. Her most notable achievements include an Exceptional Education Contributions Award by the UCSF Department of OB/GYN, citations in San Francisco Magazine as one of the "Best Doctors in the Bay Area", and the "Joanne Horning You Can Make a Difference Award", from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, San Francisco Affiliate.
Dr. Goldman is also the co-founder and co-chair of the Board of Directors for the Uilani Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to women with breast cancer to use for complementary treatments to improve their quality of life.
Through caring for her best friend with breast cancer, Dr. Goldman developed a desire to do more for breast cancer patients. She feels that her experiences as a caretaker were life altering and have given her a deeper sense of connection to breast cancer patients and their families. Her particular interests are focused on treating menopausal symptoms and sexual dysfunction as they relate to breast cancer treatment.
In her free time, Dr. Goldman enjoys spending time with her partner and their two young children, visiting family or friends, cooking, and playing tennis or skiing.
