Janine Figallo joined the Breast Care Center team in August 2007. She worked in Bone Marrow Transplant at UCSF Medical Center for several years before returning to graduate school at UCSF where she earned a dual master's degree in Oncology and Genomics. Janine performed the majority of her graduate work here at the Breast Care Center, working in the clinic as well as the Cancer Risk Program. After graduate school, Janine served as an Associate Clinical Scientist at Genentech, Inc. for two years. She returned to the Breast Care Center with great enthusiasm and refers to her return as coming home. While getting her undergraduate nursing degree, Janine minored in English Literature. She collects old books and is the proud owner of many vintage classics. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, and writing poetry.
