Biography
Dr. Scott Hansen performs Microsurgical Breast Reconstructive surgery at the Breast Care Center. He has been a member of the UCSF Department of Surgery faculty since July 2005. His interests in Reconstructive Microsurgery include the head and neck, breast, upper extremity, and lower extremity.
Dr. Hansen also maintains an active basic science laboratory at San Francisco General Hospital. In conjunction with David Young's laboratory and under the direction of Nancy Boudreau, Dr. Hansen's lab is active in numerous primary and collaborative research projects. He is also the Hand and Microsurgery editor for both the Annals of Plastic Surgery and ePlasty, an on-line Plastic Surgery journal.
